Development Manager

They are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to sell their award-winning education software product suite to senior leaders within Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and Multi-Academy Trusts. Most of the role will be focused on closing new business and whilst there’s an element of self-generation, they have a strong marketing team and SDR in place to help set appointments. 

The position will be based field based, covering London up to Norfolk, albeit a vast amount of work can be completed remotely. They have an office in London that employees can work from if preferred. 

As a business, they rarely lose staff. This is due to the friendly company culture and continuous training and development they provide. They have experienced excellent business growth over the past year and this vacancy has only become live due to an internal promotion. 

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and close new business opportunities with primary schools, secondary schools & multi-academy trusts

  • Follow up sales leads for new prospects

  • Cold calling and lead generation

  • Demo new software to schools

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to all education customers

  • Up-selling to existing education customers

  • Keep CRM system updated

  • Attend monthly sales meetings at head office

The Successful Candidate:

  • MUST have experience of selling to the education sector

  • A successful track record in new business sales

  • Software, SaaS, EdTech sales experience is preferable

  • Strong sales negotiation skills

  • Consultative & enthusiastic

The Business Development Manager Package:

Basic Salary – up to £40,000 
OTE – £25,000 (uncapped)
£350 per month Car Allowance
28 days holiday + Birthday off work
